Five months into being a member of the Harrow marquetry group and I've finished my first project. In this video, I show the tools needed to do marquetry. A knife to cut the veneers, a straight edge, glue and some tapes. Marquetry tape is not essential, however, I do use it sometimes. I bought some veneers from the group at a very reasonable price - £20, and the tools cost me £15 (approximate prices). So the cost of the tools and veneers to keep me going as a Marquetarian were around £35. An inexpensive and mobile hobby, I was able to take everything I needed with me on holiday, and sit happily, working away in the sun.
